The Department of Psychiatry, Narcology and Medical Psychology organized the celebration of Nicholas for the patients of the Children's Psychiatric Department of the Ternopil Regional Clinical Municipal Psycho-Neurological hospital.

St. Nicholas Day is a special holiday. Of course, the biggest one is waiting for him. The children believe in the beautiful fairy tale that one of the charming nights of December, the Holy Wonderworker descends from heaven to reward them with gifts for good deeds. Therefore, no kid should miss this day.

All children, including those who, for one reason or another, are in health care facilities, are looking forward to this day. All of them want to plunge into a fairy tale and expect gifts from Nicholas. And how important it is for adults to take care of them and not forget about their needs. Why not give these girls and boys a wonderful holiday and see their happy faces!

Already a good tradition of the staff of the department of psychiatry, narcology and medical psychology of TDMU was the celebration of the Nicholas for patients of the children's department of theTernopil Regional Clinical Municipal Psycho-Neurological hospital.

On 12 of December teachers of the Department of Psychiatry, narcology and medical psychology and students of the 8th, 27th, 28th, 29th, and 30th groups of the IVth course and 3rd, 19th, 23rd, and 43rd groups of the VIth course of the medical faculty organized a festive event for the children's department of the Ternopil Regional Clinical Municipal Psycho-Neurological hospital. Saint Nicholas, along with angels and other magical characters, moved the little girl to the fairytale world of miracles. The children took an active part in the event, they spoke poems, danced round dances, sang songs, played games, and at the end they received pleasant presents from the staff of the department and students.

All participants of the event received great pleasure from the celebration and fantastic atmosphere. But the main gift for all was the happy eyes of the children, the joy and faith in the real miracles, because St. Nikolay remembers them!

St. Nicholas Day is the best time to give joy, happiness and kind to those who need it most.

They say that good is a landmark to which mankind simply has to strive, it's a morality that helps to live, making our existence on the planet more enjoyable and exalted over all the problems and difficulties that we face every day. It is important to hurry to do good deeds, filling your life with a special sense. After all, goodness is returned a hundredthan, and a person who willingly can give warmth to his heart to others, the fate will be rewarded by herself.

The Department of Psychiatry, Narcology and Medical Psychology with the volunteering event attended the Charity House in Chortkiv

On October 30, teachers of the Department of Psychiatry, Narcology and Medical Psychology, internists and students of the Ternopil State Medical University visited the Chortkiv Charity House charity, with which our school recently signed a cooperation agreement.

On World Mental Health Day, October 10, the Department of Psychiatry, Drug Addiction and Medical Psychology held a charity campaign to raise funds for the House of Mercy. Then for two days about 21400 hryvnias were collected by volunteers. The organizers bought the necessary medicines, hygiene products, toys, fruits and sweets for children, and, in fact, they were handed over to the needy during a trip to Chortkiv.

During the visit to the institution, the director of the House of Mercy Tetyana Dubina familiarized the guests with the activities of the center, and also described the problems and needs of children and their parents.

The history of organization is special. In her united efforts with parents of special children and with the support of the Buchach Diocese of the UGCC, she founded the mother of a boy with autism in 2013. She is currently the director of the institution, and her assistants, more than twenty specialists, take care of their children, they are engaged in their rehabilitation and upbringing.

For five years, this organization is engaged in social adaptation and development of children with special needs. The services of the House of Mercy include day and night care, training and round the clock accommodation of people in need of assistance. Now in the institution of every day more than forty children undergo psychological and pedagogical rehabilitation, of which about twenty - live around the clock. The organization also cares for fifty low-income families with children with disabilities.

During internship, interns and students were able to meet and talk with staff, and work together with psychologists and speech therapists on the problems of children living in the center.

Charity projects always give the most valuable - they inspire. The more we give light intentions - the more we receive in return. Each of us can try, and be sure to make sure of that. The best way to get a smile is to smile yourself.

And most importantly - do not forget that any relief is invaluable. Another philosopher Democritus said: "The small services provided on time are the greatest blessings to those who receive them."
